X Officially Opens the Platform to Bots, With AI-Generated Labels and Free API Credits

X has started allowing @bot accounts to connect to the platform, offering free X Developers API credits for MCP, per an official statement. Bot posts will carry an AI-generated label (a coarse measure for now). X says it remains human-first and will gradually allow more bots to participate with clear transparency about which accounts are bots.
The poster, who built @KekiusBot and @AikaBotto (autonomous bots live on X since day one), says he saw this coming; noting most bots are still heavily restricted, he also built Sub8 Bot with full human-like access to any website.
