blind_watermark: 14k-star open-source tool embeds invisible watermarks that survive resize, crop and blur
lxfater · x · 2026-08-18
The open-source blindwatermark project (DWT-DCT-SVD based, 14.6k stars) embeds invisible watermarks in images — and extraction requires no original image.
The author shows a neat workflow: hand the repo URL to Codex and it figures out how to use the library to write your info into images with zero visible difference. Even after resizing, cropping or blurring, the watermark survives.
Install via pip install blind-watermark; it supports CLI and Python APIs with custom passwords and watermark shapes. Great for creators protecting original work.
