MVTrack: Ultrafast Moving Object Tracking from H.264 Bitstreams
rsasaki0109 · x · 2026-08-14
MVTrack introduces an ultrafast moving object tracker that operates directly on H.264 compressed bitstreams, bypassing the need for RGB pixel reconstruction. It combines MVDet, a lightweight motion vector field detector, with MVLink, a minimalist kinematic association module. On the VIRAT dataset, MVTrack outperforms YOLO26n while using 60× fewer parameters, requiring 40× fewer FLOPs, and reducing CPU latency by 8.6×.
