OpenMausBot: An Open-Source Grok Bot Running Entirely Local

A developer has released OpenMausBot, an open-source application dubbed the open-source version of Grok Bot. It runs entirely on the user's local machine and presents a chat interface where each contact represents an independent AI agent.
These agents can leverage different models like Claude, Codex, or Grok, each with unique personalities, memories, and tools. Key features include:
- Local & Secure: Uses local official CLIs directly; API keys are stored only locally without intermediary servers.
- Supervised Execution: Bots can control cloud desktops or local Macs, but must prompt the user for approval before executing commands or modifying files. Users can view their screens in real-time.
- Integrations: Supports one-click connection to 500+ services including Gmail, Slack, GitHub, and Notion.
- Desktop Mascot: Features a mouse-following desktop pet that changes expressions based on the AI's current status (thinking, erroring, executing tools).
