Intel RealSense Launches Perception Studio with VIO and People Detection

RealSense has launched the new Perception Studio platform for Physical AI and robotics developers, aiming to provide early access to next-generation perception capabilities.
The update introduces three core features:
- Visual-Inertial Odometry (VIO): Drop-in VIO via cuVSLAM on D455/D436 global-shutter cameras.
- Improved Close Range Depth (Min-Z): Optimized depth measurement capabilities for short distances.
- People Detection: Enhanced human recognition and obstacle avoidance support for environments.
