AI's Self-Created Concepts Aren't Useful, Limiting Recursive Self-Improvement

AI researchers once aimed for models to generate their own concepts and abstractions. However, when AI actually achieves this, humans often find the output useless. The author argues that the path to recursive self-improvement (RSI) is fundamentally rate-limited by human understanding.
