An industry observer expressed skepticism regarding the current hype around humanoid robots, arguing that they are overrated at this stage. Instead, he sees significant value in special-purpose robotics.
He pointed out that truly valuable special-purpose robotics companies might not look like traditional robotics businesses. They sell a very specific product or service to the market, and it just so happens to be executed by a robot. Using @loombotic as an example, he highlighted the commercial viability of deeply integrating robotics into specific vertical scenarios.
