CMU Database Group Announces Fall Seminar with Focus on AI Agents

The Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) Database Group announced its Fall seminar series. Playfully themed around whatever Andy Pavlo finds interesting, the series aims to escape the conventional boundaries of database research.
The talks are open to the public and include several hardcore technical sessions highly relevant to AI:
- Apache Doris: Real-time analytics and search database specifically designed for AI Agents.
- Database for Visual Data and Robot Sensors: Exploring architectures beyond vector search, RAG, and timeseries.
- DB9: A database built by agents, for agents.
