Cybersecurity startup Obsidian Security raised $85 million in a Series D round at a $1.1 billion valuation. The round was led by Crescent Cove Advisor, with participation from Greylock and Menlo Ventures.
As enterprises rapidly adopt autonomous AI agents, non-human identities accessing third-party SaaS data are creating a new major attack surface. Over 65% of Obsidian's enterprise customers have already granted AI agents access to data within third-party SaaS applications. With more than 14 customers paying over $1M annually, the company plans to use the new funding to expand R&D and accelerate go-to-market investments.
