Yield.xyz announced the launch of AgentKit on the x402 protocol, bringing the entire onchain yield ecosystem to autonomous AI agents.
- Core Features: Any AI agent with a wallet can discover, enter, rebalance, and monitor over 3,300 onchain yield opportunities across 80+ blockchain networks via a single Model Context Protocol (MCP) server.
- Asset Coverage: Spans DeFi lending, staking, vaults, and tokenized real-world assets like US Treasuries and money-market funds.
- Payment Mechanism: Powered by Coinbase's open HTTP payment standard x402, enabling autonomous stablecoin micropayments at roughly $0.001 USDC per call. It includes a free tier, after which the server returns an HTTP 402 challenge to trigger wallet payment.
