Netlify Integrates OpenRouter: Swap Hundreds of AI Models Without Changing Keys
thisiskp_ · x · 2026-08-13
OpenRouter is now officially live in Netlify's AI Gateway and Agent Runners. This integration allows developers to access the full catalog of models—including DeepSeek, Qwen, GLM, Kimi, and hundreds of others—without needing separate API keys or billing setups.
To showcase the feature, Netlify is hosting a livestream on August 18. Chris Watts, Head of Engineering at OpenRouter, will discuss how to choose models based on cost, latency, and context window. Jack Herrington will then demonstrate building live with TanStack AI, showing how developers can swap models mid-build without touching the underlying application code.
