MCP document viewer blank in Claude: structuredContent compatibility issue

Developer philrox reports their MCP document viewer works in the reference host but opens blank in Claude. The reference host sends a text content block, while Claude only receives structuredContent. They fixed it by sending legal text through both channels, noting 'portable spec, host-specific runtime.'
