MIT Paper: No Widespread AI Job Displacement Yet, But Youth Impacted

MIT and other institutions released an updated version of the 'Canaries in the Coal Mine' paper, examining the recent employment effects of AI. The study finds no widespread job displacement caused by AI so far. However, by June 2026, the employment gap for AI-exposed 22-25 year-olds had widened to 19% in the ADP sample.
