NVIDIA Robotics Researcher Joins Proception to Tackle Dexterous Manipulation

imankitgoyal · x · 2026-08-13

Ankit Goyal, a former researcher at NVIDIA's Seattle Robotics Lab, announced his departure to join full-stack robotics startup Proception. He will lead the development of the dexterous manipulation learning stack.

Proception is already shipping hardware products like robot hands and data-collection gloves. Goyal believes that solving dexterous manipulation requires co-designing the entire stack—hardware, software, and AI—and Proception is one of the few places capable of integrating these components.
