Stanford Team Proposes 'The Virtual Biotech' Multi-Agent AI Framework for Drug Discovery

Harrison Zhang's team at Stanford shared a multi-agent AI framework called The Virtual Biotech during a talk at the Broad Institute.
Instead of asking what a single AI agent can do, the framework explores the possibilities of organizing thousands of AI agents into a scientific team resembling a biotech R&D organization. These agents are equipped with distinct expertise, tools, review mechanisms, and leadership structures, aiming to accelerate therapeutic discovery and development through large-scale collaboration.
