Google DeepMind Unveils Sign Language-to-Text Model, Coming First to Pixel 11

Google DeepMind officially announced a new sign language-to-text (SL2T) model designed to help Deaf and hard-of-hearing users better interact with smart devices. The feature will debut on the Pixel 11, supporting real-time translation from American Sign Language (ASL) to English. Users can sign directly into Gboard and Live Transcribe instead of typing.
