Escaping Diffusion Limits: New Parameterization Potential in Robotics
kalomaze · x · 2026-08-12
The author points out that a recently successful mathematical parameterization is currently narrowly applied to masked diffusion and speculative decoding. However, this math could be used to escape diffusion entirely for complex use cases like robotics.
By conditioning this parameterization on a sufficiently rich transformer hidden state, it is possible to optimize for exactly valid joints over combinatorially massive spaces, overcoming the rank bottleneck.
