Patronus Ark: A Local Security Scanner for AI Agents
PatronusProtect · reddit · 2026-08-12
Patronus has introduced Patronus Ark, a local security scanning library (Rust and Python) designed specifically for AI agents.
- Scan Scope: Covers user prompts, retrieved documents, tool descriptions, proposed tool calls, and tool outputs.
- Detection: Identifies prompt injection, PII, data leakage, sensitive documents, and classifies tool actions/properties.
- Mechanism: The core is written in Rust utilizing local ONNX models. Scans run entirely locally without sending data to external APIs. It outputs classifications, leaving the application to decide whether to allow, reject, or review the action.
The project is open-source under GPL-3.0-only, with a separate commercial license available.
