Recently, voice dictation app WisprFlow faced accusations of retaining every word users say.

In response, WisprFlow officially clarified that privacy is central to their mission. They stated the data in question comes only from a small subset of users who opted in to improve models. For all other users, the onboarding process highlights a privacy mode ensuring their voice data is never used for training. The company also complained about the increasing astroturfing on the platform.
