Nvidia RTX 50 Series GPUs See Massive Price Hikes Globally Amid VRAM Shortages

Driven by supply and demand imbalances in the memory supply chain, Nvidia's RTX 50 series consumer graphics cards are experiencing significant price hikes globally.

According to Newegg data in the US, compared to June median prices, almost all models have increased except for the RTX 5070 Ti. Notably, the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB version saw a 39% price surge (median price rising from $569.99 to $804.99), and the RTX 5070 jumped by 36%. Back in July, AIC manufacturers had already halted shipments to wait for official price adjustments.

The report notes that due to sustained high demand for memory, GPU prices are highly likely to continue rising. For users needing to build a PC now, it is advised to buy sooner rather than later, as price drops in the next 6-12 months are unlikely.
