OpenAI Billing Glitch: Downgrades User Over 'Future' Payment Failure

A ChatGPT Plus user exposed an absurd bug in OpenAI's billing system. Although the user's payment was successfully processed by the bank in late July, OpenAI marked the invoice as void and downgraded the account to Free. Even more bizarrely, an automated email claimed the payment failed on September 4, 2026 (when the actual date was August 11). The user has contacted support, escalated the ticket, and is currently waiting for a fix.
