Centaur Integrates Hermes Agent with Persistent Sessions and Background Scheduling
Teknium · x · 2026-08-12
Paradigm's Centaur platform has merged support for Hermes Agent, contributed by Nous Research, adding it as a first-class harness alongside Codex, Claude Code, and others.
Unlike traditional spawn-per-turn CLIs, Hermes Agent ships a long-lived JSON-RPC gateway featuring:
- Session Continuity: Maintains one persistent gateway child per sandbox and one session per thread, preserving conversation history.
- Learning & Scheduling: Includes a background skill/memory learning loop and a cron scheduler.
Users can invoke it via --hermes in prompts or set it as the default harness for deployments.
