Omnigent introduced a Slack integration that allows teams to interact with AI agents directly within Slack threads.
- Core Mechanism: One Slack thread maps to one Omnigent session. Replying in a thread maintains the full session context.
- Interactive UX: Supports streaming Markdown replies, interactive Approve/Deny cards for tool calls, and renders multiple-choice prompts as radio buttons or checkboxes.
- Security & Deployment: Uses Socket Mode without needing a public HTTP endpoint. Users authenticate via their own Omnigent identities, ensuring no shared credentials pass through Slack.
