Commenting on the viral open-source project Comp AI CRM, an investor boldly declared that the era of legacy CRMs like Salesforce and HubSpot is over.
The project fundamentally differs from traditional CRMs: legacy systems are essentially databases with a form in front of them, and bolting on an AI chatbox still leaves the actual data research and entry to humans. Comp AI CRM, however, is built 'agentic-first' from the ground up, automating the core workflows of finding and recording information.
