Seeed Studio has released reBot-DevArm, a 100% open-source robotic arm project designed to lower the barrier to learning robotics and "physical AI."

The project is fully open-source: hardware blueprints include sheet metal and 3D printed parts, alongside a detailed BOM with purchase links for every screw. The software stack supports Python SDK, ROS1/2, Isaac Sim, and LeRobot.

The 6-DoF robotic arm (with a gripper) features a 1.5 kg payload, 650 mm max reach, 4.5 kg weight, and less than 0.2 mm repeatability. This level of open-source detail makes desktop robotic arms highly accessible to students, researchers, and developers globally.
