Spotify to Label AI Artists and Exclude Them from Algorithmic Playlists
nordicinst · x · 2026-08-11
Spotify has announced new rules targeting AI-generated artists to crack down on fake performers and protect real musicians. The platform is introducing an "AI persona" label to clearly mark AI-generated identities.
Furthermore, music created by these AI personas will be blocked from personalized algorithmic recommendations by default. The move aims to combat the flood of fake music caused by generative AI tools, enhancing platform transparency and authenticity.
