SuperSplat Update: Auto-Generates 1M Collision Voxels from Gaussian Splats

willeastcott · x · 2026-08-11

PlayCanvas has released a major update to SuperSplat, its free and open-source 3D tool. The tool can now automatically generate up to one million collision voxels from a Gaussian splat.

Using a scan of a 14th-century church in Poland as an example, SuperSplat generates a Minecraft-style voxel representation to enable accurate navigation and collision within the 3D scene. The resulting file is under 3MB, making it highly efficient for web-based real-time rendering.
