Value Aligned Research Advisors, a New Jersey-based hedge fund focusing on "transformative AI," saw a 44% drop last month, Bloomberg reports. The loss trims the year-to-date returns for its $20 billion flagship AI Fund to 65% through July, despite being up nearly 200% through June. The firm managed about $26.4 billion in total assets as of the end of June.
