Google Introduces Science One Framework to Eliminate AI Research Hallucinations
dl_weekly · x · 2026-08-11
Google Research introduced the Science One Framework, an experimental autonomous research agent prototype designed to eliminate hallucinations by natively building verifiable evidence chains.
Alongside the framework, they released CoE Audit, an automated evaluation protocol that measures the integrity of AI-generated papers against their underlying code and evidence. According to their results, baseline systems hallucinate up to 21% of their references, and the new framework effectively tackles structural issues like code mismatches and irreproducible experimental results.
