OpenRouter Drops All Service and Credit Card Fees, Igniting AI Gateway Price War
generativist · x · 2026-08-11
OpenRouter, which collected over $50M in fees over the past year, has announced the removal of all service and credit card fees. It is now the first and only AI Gateway to do so. This move aims to capture market share through a zero-fee strategy, directly challenging platforms like Vercel that still charge credit card fees.
