Following Anthropic's announcement of Claude's mathematical breakthrough regarding the Riemann hypothesis, user @AcerFur offered a critical perspective after digesting the paper. They argued that Claude didn't actually contribute much novel work.

Much of the key methodology was already established in previous papers (BGSTB24/25), which were significant when released. The conclusion is that Claude has essentially "just" recombined known elements in a clever way rather than inventing new machinery.
