Meta Releases Muse Glimmer: 30B Open-Weight Model Optimized for Local Agents
giffmana · x · 2026-08-11
Meta officially released Muse Glimmer, a 30B-parameter open-weight model optimized for local, always-on agent workflows.
Licensed under Apache 2.0, the model is designed to run entirely on consumer hardware like Macs or PCs with performant GPUs. Developer tests indicate that the quantized version requires only 17GB of memory and achieves 50 tokens/s on a MacBook using speculative decoding, delivering performance comparable to Qwen 3.6-27B.
