Alibaba's Qwen App Launches Paid Office Assistant Tiers Starting at $2.6/Month
智东西 · wechat · 2026-08-10
Alibaba's Qwen App has introduced subscription tiers for its Office Assistant and video generation features, making it the second major AI app in China to explore paid services after ByteDance's Doubao.
The Office Assistant membership comes in three tiers (19 RMB, 49 RMB, and 128 RMB per month), all supporting the latest flagship Qwen model, local/cloud modes, and PC operations, differentiated by usage quotas. Unlike Doubao's bundled offering, Qwen charges separately for video generation, with packages ranging from 26 to 968 RMB. Major tech firms are accelerating tiered monetization to anchor AI in professional productivity scenarios.
