Intel Announces $15B Share Offering as AI-Driven CPU Demand Strains Capacity

Intel announced plans for a $15 billion share offering. The company raised its 2026 capital spending forecast from $18 billion to $20 billion because surging demand for AI agents has pushed CPU orders beyond its current manufacturing capacity.
With Intel's shares having nearly tripled this year, the higher stock price will allow the company to raise the same amount of cash using fewer new shares.
