Tencent's Hunyuan Hy3 model took the #1 spot on OpenRouter in its first week, recording 68x the API calls of its predecessor. With 295B total parameters and 21B active parameters, it benchmarks competitively against models 2 to 5 times its size.
Additionally, platform WorkBuddy is offering free access to Hy3 through August 31. The poster suggested that this high-performance model easily fulfills the reasoning needs of most users who are currently paying for frontier models.
