智东西 · wechat · 2026-08-10

Nvidia has agreed to invest $2 billion in power infrastructure developer Lancium for a roughly 20% stake, with plans to add another $1 billion later, potentially increasing its share to 30%. The deal values Lancium at around $10 billion.

Lancium specializes in developing gigawatt-scale data center campuses and has secured about 4GW of power resources in Texas. Nvidia's move aims to lock in sufficient power supply for AI data centers, extending its compute infrastructure footprint upstream into the energy sector.
