surmenok · x · 2026-08-10
DHH shared a real-world test of the AI coding tool Fable, which one-shotted a Rust rewrite of the TerminalTextEffects Python library using 11 million tokens.
The results are impressive: startup time dropped from 87ms to 2ms, rendering speed increased by 9.6x, and the final output is a 3MB single executable with zero dependencies.
