Dev Vibe-Codes App to Turn Single Images into VR Worlds Locally
FitContribution2946 · reddit · 2026-08-10
A developer used 'vibe coding' to build an application that transforms Zeux image generations into 3D models using Gaussian Splatting, successfully importing the results into a VR headset.
The app currently supports three project types: Image-to-3D (as shown in the demo), single-image to 360-degree world environments, and the most challenging Video-to-4D. The author noted that while everything runs entirely locally on a 16GB Mac mini—making 4D video implementation difficult—the early-stage 3D results are already amazing.
