Mnemos Project Builds Local-First Personal Intelligence Hub to Reclaim Data Sovereignty

The Mnemos Project is developing a system called Brain, designed to create a local-first personal intelligence hub. It allows users to aggregate all personal data—including chat histories from AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor, repositories, and browser activity—into a highly encrypted local environment for their personal AI agent constellation to access.
The author notes that as AI systems become increasingly desperate for high-quality data, labs will try harder to extract users' lived experiences. The project aims to empower users to stop giving their intelligence away to platforms for free. It also envisions a future collective intelligence network where users can securely and privately share compute and data with friends or a community to collaboratively run agents while maintaining data sovereignty.
