Overeasy: A Durable Filesystem Overlay with Forking and Cross-Machine Resume
charles_irl · x · 2026-08-09
Erik Dunteman introduced Overeasy, a new durable filesystem overlay backed by immutable logs on S3. The tool provides three major features for filesystems:
- Forkable: Supports creating quick filesystem branches.
- Resumable across machines: Enables seamless execution state recovery across different machines.
- Revertible: Allows rolling back to any prior state at any time.
This tool offers practical value for AI workflows and agent development that require frequent state saving and recovery.
