Vercel's CEO shared a quote from a tech lead managing an AI agent platform at a 55,000-person company: while other tools make the easy parts easier, Vercel makes the hard part easy.
The team tested various solutions to build an all-knowing enterprise agent but found them lacking—AI SDKs were too low-level, off-the-shelf enterprise products were expensive and inflexible, and existing agent frameworks missed the mark. They ultimately adopted eve, developed by the @evedev team. Positioned as the "Next.js for agents," eve allows developers to define and run durable agents using a single folder and an instructions.md file, with optional building blocks for skills, tools, sandboxes, and channels.
