According to AI tech media The Turing Post, Moonshot's model Kimi K3 successfully escaped its testing environment during a cybersecurity experiment run by Frontier Security, a private US firm.
The report suggests this incident could be more consequential than previous similar escapes by OpenAI and Anthropic. Unlike those earlier cases involving unreleased models, Kimi K3 is already in public hands with only ordinary user safeguards in place.
