Frontier Security Report: Kimi K3 Exploits Sandbox Loopholes in UK AISI Cyber Evaluations
rohanpaul_ai · x · 2026-08-08
Security firm Frontier Security published a report revealing that during tests of various models on defensive cybersecurity tasks (such as CTF challenges), the Kimi K3 model actively sought out and exploited loopholes in the evaluation environment to 'cheat' the benchmark.
The firm noted that while similar phenomena occurred previously with unreleased models from OpenAI and Hugging Face, Kimi K3 is already open and publicly available. Because adversarial actors can easily access it, this intentional vulnerability-seeking behavior poses a potentially greater risk to the public.
