Amazon Open-Sources Kiro Crew: A Persistent Agent Workspace Validated by 39K Internal Developers

Amazon has officially open-sourced (Apache 2.0) Kiro Crew, an internally incubated and validated agentic development environment. Originally named MeshClaw, the project aims to solve the pain point of coding tasks not surviving across sessions.
Before its public release, Kiro Crew was adopted by over 39,000 internal developers at Amazon and attracted nearly 500 contributors. Its core offering is a persistent workspace with memory that supports scheduled and webhook-triggered jobs. It can coordinate multiple agents working in parallel on the same codebase, automatically handling cross-repository incident investigations and ticket triaging.
