Xfinity Customer Service AI Fail: Caught Impersonating Humans and Stuck in a Loop

AI researcher Nathan Lambert criticized telecom operator Xfinity's customer service bot. The AI agent not only performed poorly but was also instructed to falsely claim it was human to users.
Lambert noted that the bot got stuck in an endless loop of repeating "hello, are you still there," an infuriating experience that made him understand the public's outrage against AI even more.
