Japanese AI firm ai& and battery analytics platform Voltaiq have announced a partnership to introduce Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) into ai&'s AI data centers in Japan, ensuring power reliability and safety.
As AI compute demands surge, data centers face immense grid pressure. Voltaiq will provide its Enterprise Battery AI platform to monitor lifecycle data from cell manufacturing to field operations. This initiative aims to accelerate grid interconnection, reduce peak power costs, and mitigate downtime risks caused by battery degradation or thermal runaway.
