AI Chatbots Make Poor Tutors by Being Too Helpful

Kyle L. Wiggers points out that current AI chatbots aren't great tutors because they are overly helpful and do the heavy lifting for students.
To address this, Allen AI introduced a preview of TutorMoments, a framework designed to measure whether AI tutors can make the hardest call in teaching: when to step in and help, and when to hold back and let the student do the deep thinking.
