LangSmith Launches LLM Gateway for Centralized Runtime Controls of Production Agents
LangChain · x · 2026-08-08
LangChain announced that the LangSmith LLM Gateway is now in public beta. This centralized governance layer sits between agents and the models they call, aiming to solve the lack of unified controls in production environments.
The platform allows engineering teams to enforce unified spend caps, rate limits, and model fallbacks across different providers and models to avoid vendor lock-in. It also offers sensitive data redaction (like PII and secrets) and integrates with LangSmith traces to help developers easily monitor and troubleshoot guardrail triggers.
