Imbue Open-Sources Catalyst for Semi-Autonomous Scientific Research

Imbue has released Catalyst, an open-source tool designed to facilitate semi-autonomous scientific research and discovery.
The tool primarily supports two core modalities:
- Explaining Phenomena: Autonomously develops theories to explain observed phenomena. It can also take user-provided theory drafts, fill in gaps, and auto-correct mistakes.
- Verifiable Goal Solving/Optimization: Autonomously solves research goals that can be verified through code, or optimizes specific measurable metrics.
Additionally, it offers a menu of pre-defined manual operations, such as reviewing theories for correctness and proposing refinements, allowing researchers to integrate them as needed.
