LangChain: Open-Weight Model Adoption Soars in Production, Up 9x YoY

The latest report from The LangSmith Signal by LangChain reveals that the adoption of open-weight models in production is significantly rising and ready for prime time.
Specifically, 1 in 3 active teams ran an open-weight model in July, up from 1 in 5 a year ago. Furthermore, teams running an open-weight model daily grew 9x year-over-year, compared to a 4.8x growth in daily usage for closed models.
